On Monday, March 11, the RCHS Library will be hosting best-selling author Ruta Sepetys via Zoom. In her first year as RCHS Librarian, Mrs. Julian has collaborated with both the History and English Departments to bring Sepetys' works into the classroom. English classes, as well as the teacher book club, chose to study Sepetys' most recent historical fiction piece, I Must Betray You. This book has won both teachers and students over and has been well received. The History Department's Western Civilization class will be studying her work Salt to the Sea. The RCHS Library would like to thank ERFAE for their generous donation to help bring Ruta Sepetys to the students. The library has copies of all her works available for student checkout also.

The girls’ game is MON 2/5 and the boys’ game is THUR 2/15. Each senior that attends the game can get a ticket upon entry and be entered into a drawing at halftime of the game. The tuition waiver will expire 7/31/25. MURDER AT THE 1980S PROM Murder Mystery Event at the Parkside Event Center on SAT 2/24 @ 5p. $40 includes meal & show. 1980s attire welcome (not required). Proceeds go to RCHS Interact Club and Richland County Hope. ART CLUB VALENTINE’S CANDY DELIVERY Art Club will be selling Valentine’s Treats for $1 in the Commons during lunch. Items available: M&Ms, Skittles, Chocolate, Soda, Bracelets/Tattoos and a message to your valentine. CEO VALENTINE’S CANDY DELIVERY CEO will take orders before school, lunch, and after school beginning MON 2/5 for their freeze-dried candy grams. Items available: Rainbow Pops, Choco Pops, Taffy Puffs, and Jolly Crunchers. $5 to $8. Orders will be delivered during OTA on Valentine's Day. In a rematch of last year's Little Illini Conference championship game, the Olney Tigers went head-to-head with the hosting Newton Eagles for the 53rd LIC Tournament title and came home the victors. The #1 seeded Tigers snuck eight points by # 3 Newton to claim the title with a final score of 47-39. The Tigers lead the conference with an 8-0 record and have secured a season record of 22-2 thus far. Congratulations to the coaches and student athletes on a fantastic win! RCHS is proud of you - One Tiger Nation!
