RCHS College & Careers class ended their first rotation of volunteer work. Students spend three hours serving at a location of their choice. Thank you to the following locations for hosting the students: Claws and Paws, RCES, RCELC, KidZone, Full Armor, Master's Hands, Carle EMT, Olney City Hall, and Kapper & Company.





Students in Mrs. Burgener's class have been touring local businesses and learning about different job opportunities. Thank you to SKS-USA, Olney Public Library, Daylight Donuts, Best Western Hotel & Parkside Events Center.

Meet our Future Educators.
These students are in the Teaching Pathway at RCHS and preparing to do their professional internships this semester. They will be working at RCES, RCMS, and St. Joe. They are also completing all the coursework to earn six semester hours of college credit in teaching classes.


RCHS College & Careers class concluded their unit on Collaboration and Citizenship in the workplace by visiting three Richland County locations. Thank you to Mayor Mark Lambird and Director Caiti Lambird for hosting at the Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to Sheriff Andy Hires for allowing us to tour the station. Thank you to City Clerk, Kelsie Sterchi for sharing your knowledge.

Congratulations to Mckenna Snider and Aidan Weidner on winning two of six LIC Scholarships. RCHS Principal Darrell Houchin was pictured with the winners at the Boys LIC Championship game in Lawrenceville on Friday, January 31st.

Students in Mr. Powell’s Biology I class did some microscope review in preparation for an upcoming Microbiology lab.







The College & Careers class welcomed RCHS Principal, Mr. Houchin, Counselor, Mrs. Slankard, and SRO Mr. Ameter to discuss the employability skills of collaboration and citizenship in the workplace. The students appreciated them sharing their time, expertise, and advice.

Mr. Ellison's construction classes started the new semester with basic skills and new projects. Some classes were learning how to tape measure, while others worked on building a chicken tractor and dog houses.
