JROTC Raider Try-Outs on TUES 3/4 after school. All enrolled cadets are invited to try-out. Meet in JROTC big classroom and ensure that you have your PT uniform. TRI-M FINE ARTS SHOWCASE on 3/29. Auditions will be held in Rm # 151 within the Music Department on 3/10 & 3/11 at 3:15 PM.  Auditions must be school appropriate and are open to all middle schoolers and high schoolers. You do not need to have an act fully planned out but please come with the outline of one in mind. LIFEGUARDS NEEDED The City of Olney is accepting applications for lifeguards at the Musgrove Aquatic Center. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age by May 24, 2025, to apply. Applications may be picked up at City Hall at 300 S. Whittle Ave. and will be accepted until March 14, 2025. Completed applications can be given to Mr. Powell in room 004 or returned to City Hall. See Mr. Powell if you have any questions.  FREE LIBRARY BOOKS It's early spring cleaning in the library...stop by the library terrace and take a couple of free books. RCHS Travel Club will host a 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, March 22nd at 8 a.m. Pre-registration starts at 6:30 a.m. Results will be announced at 9:15 a.m. $20 is due by March 15th to RCHS 5k, 1200 E. Laurel St., Olney, IL 62450.

Richland County High School is proud to announce the S.T.R.I.P.E.S. award winners for February 2025. The "stripe" for the month is excellence. These students strive for Excellence in everything they do. They push themselves, their classmates and teammates to be their best and not be afraid of failure. Thank you to Illinois Gas Company for sponsoring our shirts in February, and as always, to Mrs. West, Mrs. Billington, Mrs. Kerr, and the RCHS Shirt Shop for making the shirts. Students in Mr. Powell’s Anatomy and Physiology class, Mrs. Roth’s Health Occupations class, and Ms. Inyart’s Health Occupations and Health Related Skills class spent the day at Wabash Valley College learning about various careers in the medical field. During the afternoon they watched an ACL reconstruction procedure performed by Wabash General Hospital orthopedic surgeon Dr Julko Fullop and his team. Roughly 50 RCHS students attended the event.

The College & Careers class completed their community service project, "Valentine Volunteers." The students planned and executed this project over the past few weeks which incorporated pre-k students at RCELC and St. Joe making valentine crafts, and the students delivering those crafts to local senior citizens.
